The coming year holds the promise of an opportunity to horse around in an open-top version of the 2018 Mustang
Ford recently took the covers off the new 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible. While all the upgrades that are set to debut on the 2018 Mustang Coupe can also be found on the convertible version, the American automaker has ensured that it has also received the desired tweaks in order to offer an open-top motoring experience that perfectly suits the Mustang.Improvements on both the Convertible and Coupe versions include a 12-inch all-digital instrument cluster that can be customised, the MyMode with memory function adjusted to one’s driving preferences, Pre-Collision Assist and Pedestrian Detection for safety, and the new MagneRide suspension
The 2018 Mustang boasts an even sleeker design that offers an athletic stance. The front and rear design has also evolved with this model not only to lend the car a meaner more purposeful look, but to improve the aerodynamics as well. Powering the 2018 Mustang siblings is a choice of engine options that include the 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine and the more familiar 5.0 litre V8 (which is what the Mustang debuted with here in India). Ford has stated that both engines have received a few upgrades as well in order to deliver an even more exhilarating drive experience. The all-new 10-speed automatic transmission is said to ensure optimal gear changes to take the entire experience to a whole new level. There is also the option of an active valve exhaust for controlling the sound from the engine. Both the Mustang Convertible and Coupe will launch in the fall of 2017 and what remains to be seen for enthusiasts here in India is whether Ford India will bring these models here.
We have our fingers crossed.
