The city was inundated with inaugurals, launches and openings this week. Every mall, establishment and restaurant was decked up in marigolds and jasmines, actually a rarity and expensive here. The festive spirit was palpable.
We all got to see Roja after a long time in the city. The politician, actress, TV show host and reality show jury was elegance personified at the opening of Green Trends salon at Kondapur. We all know her as the feisty one who speaks 19 to the dozen and it was refreshing to see her soft-spoken side at the event. In line with the place, she looked green and trendy. Ananya Simlai inaugurated the Akritti Elite exhibition and sale at Taj Deccan and like every year, it was fun and colourful. Her friends and she were busy shopping, laughing, hanging out and driving hard bargains.
Just as you thought you were done with revamping the wardrobe came another. The Trendz Vivah Collection, its 100th edition in the city, at Taj Krishna featured elite designs for a wedding. Simrath Juneja in a sleeveless dress with a fitted floral top and pink flowing gown looked a bride herself. While on brides, we must talk about the curtain raiser of Wedding Vows show at The Westin. Lakshmi Manchu talked about how technology has changed the way weddings happen now. In a silver stylish one piece, she looked glowing.
