IT’S been a crazy weekend for me, shuttling between Chennai and Mumbai, to send my sister Rochelle off to the Bigg Boss house for Season 9 — Double Trouble. The host of the show, Salman Khan, was his exuberant self for the premiere episode as he introduced the contestants, interacted with family members and kept the crowd entertained. Meanwhile in Chennai, the weekend didn’t give us a moment’s rest. Here’s a quick recap.
It was a mixed crowd at Kanakavalli, where a musical
soiree in the backdrop of Navarathri unfolded. Four artistes came together to pay tribute to the goddesses who
epitomise the spirit of the season.
Pop-up brand Funky Fish presented their ethnic edition, Desi Pop, featuring designers from across the country. Pavithra Sagar and Nikita Kapoor, whose brainchild this is, had the place packed throughout the weekend.

along with an exclusive workshop.
Michel Drappier, the CEO of boutique champagne label Drappier, was in the city to host an exclusive dinner paired with the beverage, at The Apartment, Park Hyatt.
The new Amrapali store on KNK Road was launched
mid-week, with a fashion show that showcased the
jewellery that will be available at the new address.
