The second chapter of the group exhibition, titled a�?Art: Indiaa��, opened to a packed audience at this UB City art gallery. Reputed artists from Bengaluru, Chennai and Indore, namely V Hariraam, Amrish Malvankar, Mini Giri, Mohan Singh, Sachin Deo and Srushti Rao, are exhibiting their abstract and conceptual works. Several members of the art fraternity, including Milind Nayak, Mohan Vijaya Raghavan and Gurudutt Kamath, were spotted at the launch.
Art connoisseurs in the city also got a glimpse of some Vietnamese art last week. Rajika Mittra of the Asian Art House had curated 44 works by 23 Vietnamese artists for a show at Westminster, called Artworks from Vietnam. Guests were seen appreciating the colourful, and vibrant paintings over snacks, and cocktails.
