An event planning app to automate the whole process
There is no dearth of event planners on the internet. Earlier this year, we saw the launch of WedMeGood, a wedding-planner app, while other options like Evibe and BookEventz have been offering one-stop platforms for event planning requirements. Now, adding their expertise to the mix is Eventaur. The Bengaluru-based event management company has come up with Event Planner, an app that will intuitively—or, to be more specific, intelligently (thanks to an extensive algorithm)—work out a bouquet of vendors that will work best for you.
Anirudh Poddar, founder of Eventaur, explains how it works. “Register on the website. Enter the occasion (birthday, wedding, corporate outing, etc), the date and time, your choice of venue, number of attendees, location, and budget, and run the ‘I know my budget’ option. In seconds, the app will throw up four or five combinations of vendors that you will need to plan the event. Each combination will also give a break-down of the budget,” he says, adding, “Alternatively, you can choose from three pre-defined budget brackets. We also give you the option to customise.”
Since Eventaur is in the business of planning events, you can leverage services from its list of 2,000-odd vendors, across 24 categories of functions. They will soon add wedding choreographers to their directory. Poddar explains that, as the algorithm records your history of usage, it will use the information to throw up better suggestions the next time you use the app.
The tool is also targeted at professional event planners. “Sometimes these firms run out of professional and certified vendors, so they can look up Event Planner and find the right set of hands.” Currently available in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, they have plans to expand to other major Indian cities, including Chennai.
