Amidst a shroud of secrecy, Fervour, a concept store dedicated to big names in European fashion opened its doors to the city. Their current list includes Dsquared2, Iceberg and Frankie Milano — design houses that have created a buzz in Europe. Fervour stocks their latest collections through a licensed partnership directly with the European design houses.

“These brands are fresh, new and young as we cater to the under 40 demographic,” says Vatsal Poddar, the man behind the store, adding, “And they take luxury casual clothing very seriously.” From the edgy DSquared2 and the sporty Iceberg to the cutting-edge design philosophy behind Frankie Morello, Fervour works with a ‘store-in-store’ concept, allowing the individuality of each brand to hold its own under a larger conceptual umbrella. Featuring tees, trousers, jackets, dresses and accessories, the store also has plenty of men’s wear.
On the racks
Dsquared2, by Canadian brothers Dean and Dan Carten, is patronised by the likes of Rihanna, Dianne Kruger, Michael Buble and Hugh Jackman. With collaborative influences from the world of music and art, their aesthetic is sophisticated yet provocative. Metal chain links turn into embellishments while the class of Italian tailoring takes centrestage. They also offer a range of trendy bags, shoes and jewellery that borders on edgy chic without compromising on comfort and wearability.
With a focus on fresh sartorial content, the young and inspired Frankie Morello is a brand that has created a stir since its first show in 1999. Inclined towards men’s wear, its cutting edge designs and sharp lines merge functionality and creativity perfectly. “Their designs are fun, chic and innovative which makes one look forward to each new collection with enthusiasm,” says Poddar.
Iceberg, a pioneer of luxury sportswear, predominantly features knits and jerseys. Their current collection is inspired by the post-modern American artist, Alexander Calder.
Experience the luxury
With textured slate flooring, predominantly black interiors and denim covered circular changing rooms set intimately, the store aims to give you a luxury shopping experience. They kick-off with Mary Van Der Hoff, a renowned Dutch fashion consultant and personal stylist with over 20 years of experience. She is available for consultation this month by appointment. “I will only take six appointments a day in order to understand each client thoroughly. From their personal style and specific requirements to being brutally honest about whether the brands here will suit them, I will spend as much time as it takes to get them the perfect wardrobe,” says Van Der Hoff.
