Pret and Beyond
Arty Bagdy is back, this time with fine jewellery as well
ARTI Bagdy has put a modern spin on her Fashion Collezione, calling it ABFC Spring Luxury. Featuring about 40 designers, the exhibition has bespoke fashion, jewellery, accessories and home décor, with a separate lounge for handcrafted diamond and polki jewellery. Expect designers to be present with styling tips and insights.
Mumbai-based Tipsy Fly debuts in the jewellery section. Twenty-five-year-old Aashna Sangani, who started this venture with her sister Aditi Motla, says, ‘‘Our inspiration has been global trends like tassels and material-based mesh neck pieces.’’ Exhibiting 150 pieces comprising necklaces, earrings and bracelets, the designs are western and made of mixed alloys (`300 onwards).
Bringing kurtas and tunics in fabrics like crepes and mull is another first-timer. Mumbai-based Anmol Kakka’s pret collection has colours like cream and champagne. “As most of my pieces have floral and geometric details, they are best paired with pencil pants or leggings,” offers the 37-year-old designer. (Rs 1,500 onwards).
