Circus stunts and a broad-based Aglobal menu with lots of specials Aat the Marriott Whitefield

Even if you think you are too cool for wandering magicians, clowns, bouncy castles and cotton candy, you cannot ignore the attractive stacks of sugar-crafted goodies as you make your way to the revamped mega Sunday brunch at the Marriott Whitefield. While the kids were taking turns at the bouncy castle and raiding the popcorn machine, we settled down for some liquid refreshment, which arrived quickly in the form of a refreshing orange mojito for me and a lemon drop and a pomegranate martini for my companion.

Quick on the draw, the wait staff, clown faces firmly in place, loaded up the table with an assortment of fried seafood, crispy calamari rings, succulent prawns and tasty fresh fish along with pani puri and skewered chicken kabobs to nibble on. We then put the salad bar to good use, Thinly sliced parma ham, an assortment of cheeses and breads, a serving of my favorite water melon and feta cheese plus the leeway to get very creative with all the greens and dressings on hand.

Then, we spotted a serving of grilled pork belly on the table. This one was a no brainer a full of flavour and not too fatty with the barbeque sauce on the side. After two helpings, I needed to take a breather. Two helpings later, I was about to lapse into a food coma but someone recommended the beef burger that was doing the rounds. By far the best beef burger Iave had in a long time, it was juicy, pink and perfectly seasoned. If you have a healthy appetite, the offerings here range from dimsum and sushi, Thai curries, shawarma rolls and pasta. Plus, a line up of classic Indian fare from butter chicken, and mutton biryani, to the always welcome appam and stew. But then the colourful dessert counter, meant to attract the kids, beckoned. Brightly decorated cupcakes vied for attention with pineapple upside downs and cinnamon apple crumbles. Or if your sweet tooth is out of control, then gooey chocolate pudding, Indian sweets and assorted ice creams. ARs. 1750++. Details: 8884477218
