On its eighth anniversary, Chipstead celebrates with music, movies and some old favourites.
Great ambience, popular and rare spirits (courtesy Vault) and hard-to-resist deals for their InnerCircle members—Chipstead has been consistently winning hearts through the years. Now, on its eighth anniversary, it is giving back with a four-day celebration. While the party kicked off on Wednesday (with a Bollywood night that saw DJs Ankit Ramchandani and Ashok Bajaj in control), the fun will pick up once again today. “We have curated a small menu with Chipstead favourites, like the whisky-based Chipstead Makeover, Cherry Julep and Spiced Old Fashioned, and the vodka-based Relish Kick. These are cocktails that are not on the current menu, but for which we constantly get requests,” says Prateek Kalra, director of food and beverages, Taj Coromandel. “We have also invited popular DJs from across the country to enhance the experience,” he adds. Expect names like DJs Praveen Achary and Pooja B (deep house, techno) and DJ Ivan (EDM). To end things on a light note, Sunday will host Pocket Movies with Cyrus Dastur. “I’ll be screening the shorts Cupidity, The Butterfly Circus and the 2016 Oscar winner, Stutterer,” says the founder of Shamiana, the Mumbai-based platform for short films.
Till August 28, from 9 pm. Cover charges at Rs 1,500.
