Online store Manifest Design presents jewellery for men at an exhibition in Amethyst
Featuring structural jewellery, hand forged out of solid, food-grade stainless steel, each piece is a unique work of art at Manifest Designs, the online store based in Pondicherry. Started in 2013, the brand has a strong following among women for their range, with patrons ranging from celebrities like Twinkle Khanna to college students. “Why should women have all the beautiful stuff?” asks Manreet Deol, the co-owner and the designer with an expansive background in designing for luxury table top company. She has recently forayed into accessories for men and will be showcasing their collection in Chennai from January 6 to 13. “The collection is doing better than expectations,” says Deol of the designs that are inspired from nature – like lava, earth, leaf, coral and so on. The deep rugged earthy textures and the smoother modernist shapes celebrate the very elemental handmade process.
‘Everyday wearable art’ is the guiding style mantra behind the varied and eccentric kadas for men. Their classic Kada bracelet priced at Rs 1,900 is a simple kada, inspired by the 17th century Martial Arts traditions of North India. For bolder statements pick their Ribbed Kada bracelet, that comes in black with an unique criss-cross texture or the Terra Kada bracelet, in the texture of the earth and grains, both priced at Rs 1,900. The bracelets can be bought online and they come in a gift box that lets you ship it to your loved ones in almost all parts of the world.
