Move beyond hard copies of medical documents, as a new app stores them online
Stop worrying about misplacing your reports or medical prescriptions — now your filing cabinet is in your phone. Just scan and upload your encrypted medical records to the Fitastik app. “Most of the time, we either lose papers or might not have every medical record when the doctor asks for it and that is when the app comes in handy,” describes Sanjay Lakhotia, founder director of Fitastik, the Gurgaon-based health management solutions company. You can also create emergency profiles for crucial medical needs and add and monitor health reports of family members and friends as well. Lakhotia, who is one of the founders of Aamoksh One Eighty, that runs retirement homes in India and abroad and also promotes Fitastik, says, “We who ought to maintain medical records of our residents, noticed the need for their ready availability.” In its paid version (Rs 600 per year), the month-old app allows features like unlimited digitisation of doctor consultations and lab results besides regular alerts for your next thyroid or diabetes test. Premium users can also get their medical records picked up or dropped for digitising, while Fitastik’s tie up with Global HealthReach, enables second medical opinions from doctors across the globe. Future plans include predictive health analytics and delivery of medicines at your doorstep.
