Besides being an ace cricketer and coaching the Mumbai Indians team, South Africa-based Jonty Rhodes is also the surf ambassador of the country. He makes it a point to attend the Covelong Point Surfing Competition every year and inaugurated the surfing competition, Spice Coast Open, in Kerala, in 2013. A regular at Kovalam beach, the cricketer is a fan of the US-based brand, Hurley, and when not riding the waves, likes sipping on tender coconut water from the local vendors. Applauding the enthusiasm shown by young surfers, the 44-year-old shares tips on the right gear and attitude for the beach.
