Independence Day: Resurgence is set 20 years after the first film, and sees a larger battalion of alien forces threatening to exterminate humans. Although there are old faces in the cast, like Jeff Goldblum (scientist) and Bill Pullman (the former president of the US) and fresh faces like Liam Hemsworth, one might be forgiven for missing Will Smith.
