In its 14th year, The Duchess Utsav is ready to unveil its latest pre-Diwali edition with old favourites like Anuradhaa Bisani and PC Totuka & Sons, and first-timers like Sin Raj and Kasaya. With around 65 designers from across India set to offer handcrafted precious jewellery, saris, home accessories and more this year, Sujata Mundhra, a Duchess Club member, says, a�?Wea��ve always worked towards promoting new talent. Participating for the first time, Bangalore-based designer Amrita Nambiar will be presenting her label Oliea��s hand crafted cushion covers, table linen, and lamps. a�?My collection is an amalgamation of hand-twisted banana fibre, matka cotton silk and 100 per cent cotton fabrics, and features motifs like falling leaves, flying fishes and lotuses,a�? says Nambiar. Meanwhile, Chennai-based Kaya is bringing a special collection of saris designed by award-winning NIFT student, Sai Bhavani, who graduated this year. She worked with the store for six months to design clamp dyed saris featuring shibori art in soft pastel colours. Other attractions include jewellery made of old antique coins and kalamkari saris from the house of Kasaya.
