    Polo Club gets a new menu and a Harley Davidson to go

    It DOESNa��T get better than sipping chilled summer cocktails by the effervescent Shashank SharmaA� and nibbling on snacks and starters from the seasonal menu by chef Nimisha at the Polo Club. But there is also the possibility of winning five Oberoi holidays across the country or a Harley Davidson Fat Boy, to tempt you more.

    We dived straight into a poached pear salad, with crunchy arugula, blue cheese crumble and pinenuts, a delicious roasted beet salad, and Valencia orange a�� a brilliant introduction to the fresh produce of summer. The barbeque chicken wings with a blue cheese dip and kasundi paneer shasilik flavoured with Bengal mustard alongside, made for a pleasant midday snack.

    Summer sippers
    The summer cocktail list keeps the American motorbike companyA� theme going with some clever innovations like the Kiss on Chrome a�� a cooling vodka creation with watermelon, and Fat Boy a�� a lime and martini affair infused with Cuban cigar smoke.
    Moving on to the mains, we got off to a brilliant start with a spiffy Bombay vada pao slider made withA� in-house baked buns, spicy potato patty with peanut, chilli and garlic, and egg and chicken tikka sandwich with Harissa mayonnaise, resembling French toast. You could also opt for the tenderloin and cheddar bap, spianata Romana a�� perfect for the meat lover with honey-glazed ham, salami, bacon, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, gherkins andA� mozzarella in focaccia, and a prawn slider in chilli-garlic tartare sauce.

    New entree
    A few Indian additions to the menu are tandoori broccoli and tandoori bharwan gucchi (Kashmiri morels). Their special mango festival for desserts is on but opting for a raspberry chilli sorbet here is not a bad idea if youa��ve already overdosed on the yellow fruit.
