Hyderabad-based Thickshake Factory is set to open its first outlet in the city.
Promising to redefine our perception of a milkshake, Hyderabad-based Thickshake Factory is launching its first outlet in the city, on November 19. Ashwin Mocherla and his brother Yeshwanth Nag, who started the brand in 2011, wish to create an independent identity for milkshakes and ‘thickshakes’ through their range of delectable products that could very well be a dessert or a meal-replacement option. The 25-seater restaurant, situated on Khader Nawaz Khan Road, will serve over 35 flavours of shakes with a variety of 70 toppings.
Prepared with ice creams made at their factory in Hyderabad, we are informed that just the right amount of whisking with crushes and milk gives it that extra thick and creamy texture. Their bestsellers are the Belgian chocolate and the Straw Banana (combination of strawberry ice cream, banana and strawberry crush). According to Mocherla, an MBA graduate, “The main aim to start Thickshake Factory was to break the perception that milkshakes are just milk, sugar and essence.” You can also customise your drink by choosing flavours and toppings like wafers, chocolates, syrups, sprinkles and candies. Thickshake factory will also be launching its version of monster shakes—Insane Shakes—(think large mason jars with overflowing toppings of nutella and whipped cream) and bubble teas in the coming months.
Rs 129 onwards.
