From Air Jordan’s lightest shoes to a Balmain blazer, model Dayana Erappa’s wishlist will satisfy your noir cravings

MUMBAI-based model Dayana Erappa’s fashion choices are simple. “I don’t like to experiment with colours, and black, white, blue and grey are my favourites,” says the 25-year-old darling of the runway. A familiar face in Vogue India, Harper’s Bazaar Bride, Grazia, Maxim, and Kingfisher Calendar 2015, she shares her pick of the season.

2Floral power
Though Erappa prefers men’s perfumes, the 24 Faubourg Hermès Eau De Parfum Spray by Maurice Roucel is an exception. It has a luxurious floral fragrance and is light and long lasting. Vanilla and ambergris set the tone for the sillage and it comes in a square glass bottle that is gently curved on the edges. Rs.7,950. At The Oberoi, New Delhi.

3Euro pass
These black booties by Alexander McQueen are a showstopper, and Erappa has had her eye on them for a while. Made from calf leather, they feature a lace-up front fastening, silver-tone stud detailing, a platform sole, and about five-inch heels. “I would like to wear them for my upcoming Europe trip, and complete the look with a trench coat,” she says.

4Short parade
This Roberto Cavalli short dress is ideal for an evening out. The long sleeves will make your limbs look slender, and the golden hook-and-bar detailing around the round collar is an accessory by itself. “Don’t forget to pair it with a golden clutch,” Erappa advises. Approximately Rs.53,110 at DLF Emporio, New Delhi.

5High and wide
Erappa’s love for formal high-waisted trousers takes her to Balenciaga’s sailor wide-leg wool option. The black wool-twill trousers fit perfectly at the smallest part of your waist before flaring towards the bottom. A row of sailor-style silver-tone metal buttons complete the look. It has slip pockets in the front, as well as a back button-fastening single jet pocket. Pair it with a white shirt and pointy toe pumps. Rs.53,540 on matchesfashion.com

Magic feet
Erappa is a fitness junkie, and would like to add the Air Jordan XX9 to her kit. It weighs 361 gm, and its innovative single-layer woven upper provides support, strength and protection. In this series, the forefoot and the heel are linked by a tendril (a small bridge of outsole), which provides a smooth heel-to-toe transition. Rs.15,200 upwards. At Nike Store, Brigade Road. 6Button up
A black removable collar blazer from Balmain is on Erappa’s mind. “You can wear this cotton blend lambskin blazer either over a dress or a high-waist knee length skirt,” she says. The raccoon fur collar is removable and makes the piece even more versatile. Don’t miss the classic lapels, long sleeves, a button-down front, a fitted waist and front pockets. 7Two in one

The Rouge Velvet Matte Lip Colour by Christian Louboutin provides medium to full coverage in one stroke. The mix of natural oils and seed butters will ensure your lips don’t dry for up to four hours, as well as leave a wonderful scent. The stick comes with a black silk ribbon that can turn it into a necklace. It is enclosed in a black, lacquer finished reusable jewellery box. Approximately Rs.6,553. On nordstrom.com

8The dark side
The Anouk stilettos by Jimmy Choo are simple and sexy. The heels are 4.75 inches long, while the pointy toe pumps come in black patent leather. The shoes, complete with a padded insole, and leather lining and sole, work with any outfit. Rs.49,488 at UB City, Vittal Mallya Road. Details: 41738404
