Indear helps brides with wedding plans and trousseau shopping
With over 3,000 wedding fashion related products, Indear.in helps future brides with wedding plans. But it’s not just about selling bridal wear by well known Indian designers. Indear also makes recommendations based on specific themes, destinations, and even the season the wedding is planned for.
How it works
On the lines of Pinterest, users can pin their favourite content on boards, share it with the family, and even and contact the vendors directly. Moreover, the platform provides a multi-category detailed search where one can explore different trends in-depth.
The idea of starting a portal in wedding fashion occurred to Vohra when she came to Mumbai from New York. Her best friend was planning her sister’s wedding, and had to go through multiple email threads, Whatsapp groups and websites to get a sense of the location, outfits, decor and invitations. “That’s when I realised that a centralised system was called for,” Vohra recounts.
What you get
The portal, that initially started as a content provider, now acts as an aggregator of wedding content and products directly from wedding vendors and designers, organising it in an innovative manner to simplify the process of planning. They have over 70 Indian brands and designers on the site, including Falguni and Shane Peacock, and Gauri and Nainika among others. Some brands, such as Peahen Jewels, a brick and mortar store from Muradabad, sells exclusively on Indear. One can also buy jewellery, and silverware gifts in bulk. Recently, the the site also also launched another feature where people can book services such as mehendi or makeup artistes.
