Head to the newly revamped Aqua for a cool poolside experience
WITH sunny days stretching ahead of us, Aqua takes on a new beach-cum-Morocco-inspired revamp right on cue. We decided to check out the new and improved version of the poolside venue and we must admit, we came back feeling like we had been on a short but sweet vacay.

The old gazebos have been replaced with open cabanas and the bar is housed in a wooden, slatted enclosure, as is a private pavilion. The summer-appropriate colour scheme extends from turquoise and royal blue to coral and burnt orange with lemon yellow on cushions and throw pillows strewn across the charming wicker sofas, chairs, and tables. The patio, with a hidden garden and wrought iron seating is apt for a romantic evening and is made more special with Moroccan-style lamps that have been crafted out of aluminium milk cans.
Featuring separate menus for the day and evening, diners are sure to be spoilt for choice with impeccably tasty starters, little nibbles and hearty eats like prawn and crab balls with wasabi mayo, chorizo, cheese and potato croquettes, and cheese and cold cut platters. We sampled the generously sized lasooni murgh wrap, which is big enough to be a meal in itself. Stuffed with smoked chicken, sauteed onion and garlic, fresh mint and coriander and a layer of scrambled egg whites, it was high on fresh flavour and low on masala and seasoning that tend to overpower the palate. The neatly put together digital sandwich is a potato and white or brown bread affair with a yummy addition of chaat masala and is perfect for a quick, light bite.
Other must-trys include the beef burger with a juicy patty, layered with cheese and greens in a sesame bun, and the chilli mushroom wrap that is flavoured with soya and garlic, contained in a flour tortilla.
