Chef stations add flare to Barbeque Nation’s buffet spread
Introducing an array of live counters, Barbeque Nation is expanding its offerings to include pasta, seafood, chaat and exotic meats. Available at outlets citywide on a rotating basis (with a different live counter in operation in any given month), the hope is that regular customers will be able to enjoy something new on every visit.
Spoiled for choice
Dropping by the Indiranagar outlet, we were treated to freshly prepared noodles and vegetables at the Chinese counter. Select from veggies like baby corn, mushrooms, and capsicum, which the chef will whip up with your choice of chilli, manchurian or Szechwan sauce, with embellishments like spring onions added according to your preference. When the pasta counter is functioning, you can expect alfredo, basil pesto and bolognaise sauces, plus accompaniments like elephant garlic and parmesan cheese. We’re also keen to sample to exotic meat station, which offers rabbit, duck, quail, eel and shark meat, that are tossed in either Indian, Thai or Chinese sauces.
One permanent counter across all outlets is the Kulfi Station. Introduced on popular demand, it stocks every possible flavour, with varieties including strawberry, mango and paan. The toppings are also in abundance, with over 800 different varieties to keep you going. We opted for a fig kulfi with caramel syrup and a dusting of almonds, and found the delicate portion the perfect way to round off a satisfying meal.
Ongoing across all outlets countrywide. Details: barbeque-nation.com
