    The mysterious Mr A (Hritik Roshan) is the deadliest thief in the world and has stolen from the most unbreakable safes and vaults, leaving behind just his insignia. To track him down, police officer Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) employs Sunheri ( Aishwarya Rai), a petty thief. Though Sunheri teams up with the charming criminal, the question now is whose side is she on? Almost all the actors had to go through rigorous workouts to get their look right. In fact, Bipasha Basu reportedly lived on oranges.

    Lovely Singh (Salman Khan) has been assigned to protect the daughter of a wealthy businessman. But Divya (Kareena Kapoor), a fun loving girl, hates being followed by her bodyguard. As a ploy to distract him, she prank calls him pretending to be a mysterious woman by the name Chaya. Trouble begins when Divya falls in love with Lovely and finds herself pitted against the imaginary Chaya. The song I love you was shot at the Symbiosis University in Lavale, Pune, and actual students were featured in it.

    Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (Fantasy)

    Based on JK Rowling’s sixth book, this one explores Harry Potter’s (Danielle Radcliffe) adventures as he follows helpful notes in a potions book written by its previous owner — the mysterious Half Blood Prince. Meanwhile, Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) is being used by the dark lord Voldemort for a secret mission. This is the only Harry Potter film that does not feature an on-screen defense against the dark art’s class.

    Mr Peabody (Ty Burell) is a business titan, inventor, Olympic medalist and a scientist. He is also a dog. He and his adopted son, Sherman (Max Charles), use their time machine, the WABAC, to experience some of the world-changing events and interact with great personalities in history. But things go out of hand when Sherman takes the machine out for a joyride to impress his friend Penny. They accidentally rip a hole in the universe, which changes the world’s most important events. Will Mr Peabody arrive in time to rescue them? Robert Downey Jr, Kelsey Grammer and Geoffrey Rush were first considered for the role of Mr Peabody.

    Twenty-eight-year-old Molly McKay (Elisabeth Shue) is autistic and has lived in an institution from a young age—after her parents’ death in a car accident. But when the institution closes due to budget cuts, she has to stay with her brother Buck McKay (Aaron Ekhart). Though he cares for her, Molly turns his life upside down. Meanwhile, doctors tell McKay that a rare and expensive surgery could cure his sister. Will he go ahead with it? The movie premiered in the on-board entertainment of major airlines before being shown in cinemas.

    Final Destination 3 (Adventure),

    Wendy Christenson (Mary Elizabeth Winsted) visits an amusement park with her boyfriend Jason Wise (Jesse Moss) and other friends. When they try to get on the roller coaster, Christenson has a premonition that it will derail, and steps off. But a few from the group, including her boyfriend, still go ahead and are killed when her vision comes true. Later, when two of her friends are killed in a freak accident at a tanning salon, she is convinced that Death is after her and the other survivors. The cast had to ride the roller coaster 26 times that night, to nail the scene.

    Journalists John (Owen Wilson) and Jenny Grogan (Jennifer Aniston) relocate to South Florida and get new jobs. Before having a baby together, they decide to bring up a dog. Their yellow labrador, Marley, turns out to be more than they bargained for. He even gets himself expelled from dog training lessons. But he soon finds a place in the family, managing to inspire John to write again and help Jenny get over her post-partum depression. Twenty-two different dogs played Marley’s role.

    Ek Deewana Tha (Romance),

    When Sachin, an aspiring filmmaker (Prateik Babbar) sees Jessi (Amy Jackson) for the first time, he’s besotted. Desperate to win her love, he follows her to her hometown in Kerala. Jessi, who is from an orthodox background, is soon drawn to Sachin. But when her parents find out about him, they are livid and arrange her marriage to a man from their own community. Will this be the end of their relationship? A re-make of director Gautam Menon’s hit Tamil film, Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, Javed Akhtar helped him with the script.

    Blood Diamond (Drama/Thriller),

    Set against the Sierra Leone civil war, the story follows two men—Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou) — whose lives are turned upside down by a rare pink diamond. When Archer learns Solomon has the stone, he promises to unite him with his family in return for the gem. But he needs to make it through rebel territory first. When Archer arrives in South Africa, he walks past two women at the airport. They are actually DiCaprio’s mother and grandmother.

    Kung Fu Panda 2 (Animation/Adventure)saturday

    A sequel to Kung Fu Panda, it shows Po living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace with the help of his friends, The Furious Five. But the peace is ruined when they find out that Lord Shen of Gongman City has a new weapon with which to conquer China. Meanwhile, Po is also haunted by his past memories. Till date the film enjoys the biggest box office success for an animation feature with a female director.
