Neo (Reeves) is trapped in a train station between the virtual world of Matrix and the Machine City. Meanwhile, the machines are about to take on the last human city, Zion. By the time Neo is freed by his associates Morpheus (Fishburne), Trinity (Moss) and Seraph (Collin Chou), the machines have already reached Zion and the battle begins. Neo is the only one who can save the city and end the war. The two worlds do not realise that a third party, a powerful computer program agent Smith (Hugo Weaving), is planning to destroy both of them. It is the second live-action film to be released in both regular and IMAX theatres at the same time.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns (Drama/Comedy), &Pictures, 7.30 pm

Living in London, Manu (Madhavan) is fed up with Tanu’s (Ranaut) antics and sends her a divorce notice. Enraged, she returns to her hometown and decides to catch up with her old boyfriends. Meanwhile, Manu reaches Delhi and meets Kusum (Ranaut), a lookalike of Tanu’s, who is a state level athlete. He falls in love with her, and convinces Kusum that he wants to marry her — despite being married already. Hearing this Tanu rushes to the wedding venue, but will she be able to win Manu back? This is Ranaut’s first double role.

Alexander Cooper (Oxenbould) is an 11-year-old boy who believes that he always has bad days, while his family has good days. Sure enough, a day before his 12th birthday, he wakes up and finds gum in his hair, which is followed by several other mishaps. He tells his family about the misadventures but gets little sympathy from them. Later, he learns that his mum (Garner), dad (Steve), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) live through their own terrible and horrible days. The movie is based on a children’s book written by Judith Viorst, which shares the same title.

Gary Fernandes (Jackie Shroff), a recovering alcoholic and a street fighter, returns home after being imprisoned for 10 years. His two sons, David (Kumar) and Monty (Malhotra) — who parted ways as children — are now grown up but still estranged. David, an ex-fighter, is now a physics teacher and lives with his wife, Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandez). His daughter’s illness and his financial circumstances force him to return to street fighting. Loyalties are challenged when he has to fight his brother Monty, at Right to Fight, the biggest international event in mixed martial arts. The movie is an official remake of the Hollywood movie, Warrior.

In Antarctica, four young penguins named Skipper (McGrath), Kowalski (Miller), Rico (Vernon), and Private (Christopher Knights) are brought into the services of the North Wind, a Canadian undercover inter-species organisation dedicated to helping animals. North Wind is led by a husky named Agent Classified (Benedict Cumberbatch) and they face their biggest challenge when an evil scientist, Dr Octavius Brine (John Malkovich), decides to disfigure all penguins with his Medusa Serum. Will the team reach Dr Brine’s lair in time to stop him? This is the first film in the Madagascar franchise to feature King Julien’s character without the voice of Sacha Baron Cohen.

Don Uday (Patekar) tries very hard to get his sister Sanjana (Kaif) married, but he fails consistently as nobody wants to be associated with a criminal family. Meanwhile, Dr Ghunghroo (Paresh Rawal) is looking for a bride for his nephew Rajiv (Kumar), but wants an alliance with a respected family. Uday and his brother, gangster Manju (Anil Kapoor), decide to get Sanjana married to Rajiv. Though Dr Ghunghroo is totally against the alliance, Rajiv ends up saving Sanjana from a burning building and falls in love with her. Will the family accept the relationship? Initially, the movie was titled Pyaar Kiye Jaa and had Shahid Kapoor in Kumar’s role.
