    The Green Hornet (Comedy/Action),

    Cast: Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz and Cameron Diaz
    Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), the 28-year old son of the publisher of the Daily Sentinel, fires all his staff except the mechanic, Kato (Jay Chou), a skilled martial arts fighter, after his father dies. One night, when both visit the graveyard, they accidently foil a mugging. When the cops mistake them to be the criminals, they decide to become crime-fighters who pose as crooks to infiltrate real criminals. The character of the Green Hornet was debuted on radio in the 1930s, and has appeared in multiple serialised dramas across media ever since.

    Punisher (Action), WB, 5.32 pm
    Cast: Thomas Jane, John Travolta, Rebecca Romijn
    Ex-US Army Delta Force operator Frank Castle (Thomas Jane) attends a family reunion where his entire family is killed by Howard Saint (John Travolta), a money-laundering businessman. This gives rise to his alter-ago, Punisher, who is fuelled by rage and bent on avenging his familya��s deaths. Violence abounds as Castle and Saint chase each other across the city. Who will come out of this alive? One of the creators of the character of the Punisher, and the one to design the protagonista��s costume, was Gerry Conway, the writer of The Amazing Spider-Man.

    21 & Over (Comedy),

    Cast: Skylar Astin,
    Justin Chon, Miles TellerA�Jeff Chang (Justin Chon) stars as a medical student who is studying hard for an interview on the eve of his 21st birthday. His two best friends, Miller (Miles Teller) and Casey (Skylar Astin), are both over 21 and insist on taking him out to party. Wacky adventures and strange alcohol-fuelled situations follow the gang as they bump into numerous girls they try to hook up with in this Hangover-like film. But will Jeff make it to the interview on time? Chon was actually 10 years older in real life than his on-screen character when the film was released.

    Cast: Ajay Devgn, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mahesh Manjrekar
    Directed by Sajid Khan, this is a remake of the 1983 classic film. A village priest is driven to suicide after testifying in court against a powerful landlord, who then stages a theft at the temple to set him up. His son, Ravi (Ajay Devgn), who fled to Mumbai after his fathera��s death, returns with revenge on his mind. Asrani, who was part of the original movie, has a cameo as a ticket checker
    in this edition.

    2012 ( Action / Sci-Fi), Sony Pix, 9 pm
    Cast: John Cusack, Thandie Newton, Chiwetel Ejiofor
    A pre-apocalyptic disaster film, the action takes place on the brink of a worldwide meteorological crisis. Dr Adrian Helmsley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) warns the US president that plans have to be made to save at least a fraction of the worlda��s population, and the G8 nations begin to build a secret ark. But writer Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) inadvertently comes across this classified information, and has to fight to make sure that he and his family survives. As 2012 is the birth anniversary of Kim Il-Sung, the film was banned in North Korea.

    Death Race 3 ( Action / Sci-Fi),
    Star Movies, 9 pm
    Cast: Luke Goss, Tanit Phoenix, Ving Rhames, Dougray Scott
    Death Race, a car combat event between inmates of a private prison, is hostilely taken from owner Weyland (Ving Rhames) by British billionaire Niles York (Dougray Scott). Carl Lucas (Goss) is just one win away from achieving his freedom, but the stakes rise dramatically as the race moves to the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. Lucas once again drives his famous 2006 Ford Mustang GT (modified for racing to include weapons) which is called a�?The Monstera��.

    Due Date (Comedy), WB, 11.55 am
    Cast: Luke Goss, Tanit Phoenix, Ving Rhames, Dougray Scott
    A road trip comedy with a difference, directed by Todd Phillips, Due Date sees Peter Highman (Downey Jr) kicked off a plane, when fellow passenger Ethan (Galifianakis) inadvertently mentions bombs to him. Forced to team up with Ethan for a road trip in order to reach in time to witness the birth of his first child, Highman faces one challenge after another with the dysfunctional Ethan. When you see Ethana��s drivera��s license, it has the same birthday as actor Galifianakis who plays him.

    Sunday November 2A�

    The Wolverine (Superhero / Action), Star Movies HD, 9 pm
    Cast: Hugh Jackman, Hal Yamanouchi
    The film opens on Logan, the Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) saving Yashida (Hal Yamanouchi) by shielding him from the atom bomb dropped near Nagasaki. In present time, Yukio, a mutant who has the power to foresee death warns Logan, while Yashida reveals he is dying and wants to use Logana��s powers of healing. When Logan refuses, things get ugly and Yashidaa��s physician Dr Green/Viper forcefully tries to extract the powers. Though Yashida dies, Dr Green and The Silver Samurai, a powerful warrior, are still after Logan. Jackman took advice from Dwayne Johnson
    for bulking up. Johnson apparently advised a�?an awful lot of chicken, steak and brown ricea�� to help him
    gain a pound a week for six months.

    Back to the Future III
    (Sci-Fi /Comedy),

    Cast: Christopher Lloyd, Michael J Fox, Mary Steenburgen
    Doc (Christopher Lloyd) is happily settled in 1885 but is killed by a�?Mad Doga�� Tannen (Thomas Wilson). So Marty (Michael J Fox) must go back in time, from 1955, to save him. But when Marty arrives, the DeLorean time machine, the teleportation device, is damaged. There are more troubles, as Marty realises Doc has fallen in love with a school matron (Mary Steenburgen) and she needs saving as well. Luckily Marty manages to bring together the equipment that could help them. But will they be able get away from Mad Dog in time? The trilogy was originally rejected by 40 production houses a�� even Disney said it was too a�?dirtya�� to make.

    Some Girls (Drama /Comedy), MGM, 7.30 pm
    Cast: Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Connelly
    Michael (Patrick Dempsey) is due to visit his estranged girlfriend, Gabriella (Jennifer Connelly) in Quebec. Though he is upbeat to see her, she seems quite cold. When he meets her eccentric family, he is taken aback but tries his best to fit in despite Gabia��s father roaming about naked and her two sisters and mother trying to get uncomfortably close to him. However, when visiting Gabia��s grandmother, who is suffering from dementia, he feels a bond with the lady. She too is fond of him and, in fact, thinks he is her husband. It is a great coming of age comedy with an unexpected conclusion. The film is also known as Sister, though there is no official explanation for this.
