In Malaysia, Kabali (Rajnikanth) is a powerful leader, who champions the rights of the Indian community. When a gang headed by Tony Lee (Chao) makes an attempt on his life, many are left dead and Kabali is labelled a gangster and thrown in prison. Released after 25 years, he meets his old allies and tries to find his wife, Kumudha (Apte), who had gone missing during his imprisonment. Learning about his release, Tony Lee’s gang attempts another assassination—this time led by a woman assassin, Yogi. Kabali is the second-highest grossing South Indian movie after Baahubali.
The Late Bloomer (Comedy), Netflix India

Peter (Simmons) is a 27-year-old single man who works as a sex therapist. His only companions are his two male friends, Rich and Josh. Peter’s neighbour, Michelle (Snow), begins to confide in him that her boyfriend is always busy at work and doesn’t spend time with her. Soon they end up getting intimate, but Peter feigns a headache and retreats hastily. While Michelle finds his behaviour odd and suspects that he is gay, Peter is in his own private hell with an affliction that has plagued him since adolescence. The Late Bloomer is based on an autobiographical account by Ken Baker, titled Man Made: A Memoir of My Body.

Dr Miles (O’Hare) heads a team of archaeologists, which includes his daughter Nora (Hinshaw), on a site in Egypt. They chance upon a pyramid that lies 600 feet below the ground, but are advised to stop after a political uprising in the country. The team sends in a remote controlled rover, which is smashed by a mysterious creature. When they move in to investigate, various traps are activated, injuring the members. Finding the corpse of a 19th century explorer and his diary, the crew soon learns they have stepped into forbidden territory. Protagonists Hinshaw and O’Hare earlier worked in the TV show, Trueblood.

Jiao (Wei), a circus ringmaster, is orphaned after her grandfather dies. Grief-stricken and lonely, Jiao finds solace in Ling Ling, the circus gorilla, who can also play baseball. Meanwhile, Jiao owes money to loan sharks, who threaten to impound her circus along with its crew. With no other option, she forms a baseball team, the Doosan Bears, rechristens Ling Ling as Mr Go, and introduces him as the lead striker in the Korean Baseball League. Director Kim Yong-was inspired after learning about ‘Christian the lion’, who recognised his owners years after separation.

Working in Delhi, Minal (Pannu) and her two flatmates attend a rock concert, where they meet Rajvir (Bedi). At his behest, they accompany him and his friends to his farm house for dinner. There Rajvir tries to molest Minal, who manages to resist and escape. But the men feel insulted by the event and begin harassing the girls. When they try filing a police complaint, Rajvir’s political connections protect him and, instead, the girls are booked for prostitution. Shunned by family and friends, finally it is up to their neighbour Sehgal (Bachchan), a retired lawyer, to defend the girls in court. Pannu broke down on the sets while playing Minal, as the character undergoes a lot of mental trauma.

Cast: Kapil Sharma, Elli Avram, Varun Sharma
Kishan (Sharma) is in an awkward situation. Every time he tries to help a girl in distress, he ends up marrying her. Now he has three wives and none of them is aware of the others. Hilarity ensues when Kishan moves his wives into the same apartment complex and they become friends, without realising that they share the same husband. Things get more complicated when Kishan meets Deepika (Elli), whom he actually falls in love with. Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon is TV star Kapil Sharma’s debut.
