The film tells the story of Italian American boxing champion, Jake LaMotta (Robert De Niro). Despite beating Sugar Ray Robinson and becoming America’s sweetheart, LaMotta is suspended on suspicion of throwing a fight. His fans are unforgiving and the champion is soon reduced to nothing. The film then traces his struggle to get back to the top, and capture the hearts of his fans again , with bloody and gruelling fights against those who are out to get him. In this documentary-style film, the real Jake LaMotta served as De Niro’s trainer, while his wife told him stories of their life so that the actor could portray the boxer truthfully.
Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (Adventure/3D)

The story revolves around Tintin, a journalist, and his dog Snowy. After purchasing a miniature ship, Unicorn, Tintin accidentally breaks it and finds a scroll hidden inside. But then the ship is stolen and detectives Thompson and Thompson are on the case. While pursuing leads, Tintin is abducted and taken aboard a ship by Ivan Ivanovitch Sakharine, the villain who is also in search of the Unicorn. With the help from the captain of the ship (Haddock) and Thompson and Thompson, Tintin escapes and travels to find two other scrolls, which give him clues about the whereabouts of the original ship, Unicorn. The painter shown at the beginning of the film, bears the likeness of Hergé, the creator of the Tintin comics.

Ex-army officer Jai (Salman Khan) doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions, as long as his actions are noble. So from fighting with goons to saving his sister’s life and writing an examination for a disabled girl, Jai tries to reform society. But he gets caught in a clash of egos when he crosses Patil (Mukul Dev), the Home Minister’s henchman and son-in-law. Together with his corrupt father-in-law, Dashrat Singh (Danny Denzongpa), Patil plots to kill the Chief Minister (Monish Bahl) and frame Jai. However, Jai escapes with the injured CM who knows the truth. But will he live to tell the tale?
The film was to be titled Mental, but Salman’s father Salim Khan flatly said no.
