The launch of the Naturals Training Academy at The Westin was an evening of fashion and camaraderie, with the spotlight on the beauty industry. CK Kumaravel and his wife Veena were pleased as punch to announce their new venture, backed by words of praise and encouragement from peers and celebs alike. A quick panel discussion on changing beauty trends led by Roopa Ambekar brought to light the fact that Indian mindsets are indeed changing, slowly but steadily. Multiple fashion sequences showcased the latest in hair and makeup, from red carpet style to cuts and colours for 2016.
The rest of the weekend included a little something for everyone, with the opening of Chili’s Grill and Bar at Express Avenue Mall. It was all about family fun as popular faces landed up with their kids in tow, happy to chow down on the Tex-Mex goodness. Meanwhile, at Rutland Gate Yoga Studio, their second anniversary celebrations were in full swing. It was just the right blend of health, spirituality, relaxation and fun as members and their friends enjoyed everything from aromatherapy and crystal and tarot readings, to tea tastings by Mystic Tea. And at Phoenix Market City, Ottawan and Kaoma, internationally-acclaimed bands from the 80s, entertained a diverse crowd with their singalong hits.
