    The Zen art
    Chennai-based artist Bodhi Selvam is showcasing his new collection of paintings, Buddha Head—inspired by the six years of asceticism that transformed Siddhartha Gautama into Buddha. “I imagined his journey—when he must have endured harsh sun and monsoons while  searching for answers to his existential doubts—and tried to bring it to my canvas,” says the 45-year old.     Journey on stage
    Here’s a treat for theatre lovers. Alliance Française de Pondichéry is staging Stupeur Et Tremblements
    (Fear and Tremble) this evening. Adapted from Amélie Nothomb’s bestselling book, the play is being directed by Layla Metssitane, who won the Grand Prize of the Académie Française in 1999. It tells the story of a young Belgian woman who moves to Japan on work and encounters many surprises that teach her various lessons. Today, at 7 pm. Rs 1,500.
