Aditya Arya, the Delhi-based founder of India Photo Archive Foundation, is conducting a four-day workshop in Pondy, at the French Institute of Pondicherry. Those who love hunting down quirky finds should head to the upcycling exhibition that starts this Sunday. Expect interesting products and furniture made of discarded material — stools, tables, cushions, bags and more — by Auroville-based designers Marc Barandard, Ok Jonglee and Orly Alon Merge at Udavi School. Tasmai, the art gallery, is celebrating its third anniversary with a group show, The Cow Image in Contemporary Art. While the image of the cow has a prominent place in yesteryear Indian drawings, the exhibition will look at how contemporary artists continue to feature the animal.
