Actor Tim DeKayas on the final season of White Collar
FBI Agent Peter Burke and his criminal informant buddy Neal Caffrey are back on TV, with the sixth and last season of their show White Collar. This time around, the duo are pitted against the most sought-after network of criminals in the world, Pink Panthers. Burke and Caffrey, played by actors Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer, are the most famous cop and buddy pair on TV.
DeKay tells us about his rapport with Bomer, his experience of shooting the finale and what viewers can expect.
The secret behind Burke and Caffrey’s successful partnership.
It starts at the writing stage. Jeff Eastin (the show’s creator) wrote these great guys that Bomer and I get to play. It’s interesting to watch these guys that you would not think would get along, but they do. It’s an unlikely partnership.
What have you learnt from Bomer?
His work ethic is unmatched. I’ve yet to see anybody who works harder than Bomer.
Did you take anything away from
the sets as a memoir?
Yes. I took one of the two badges that Peter Burke had. I took home a number of suits because they were built for me by special tailors. Also, a painting that was in the hallway. It had a couple in a horse-drawn sleighs in snow.
Why should viewers tune in?
Do not walk away until the final second of the episode. We’ve got some great twists and turns. It fits all the tones that have made White Collar what it is.
