    Mantra on TTK Road features everything from metallic murals to divine artifacts

    goldSpread over two floors, Mantra’s new store on TTK Road offers more than 24 carat gold coating, which has been the USP of their flagship store, Mantra Gold Coatings, at RA Puram for more than a decade.  Launched yesterday, the store offers home décor and gifting solutions in copper, bronze, brass and traditional gold-plating and antique finish. Owner Pankaj Bhandari shares that he ventured into home décor with the help of his wife, Kala, an interior designer. “In the gold-plating business, cash flow is not continuous,” explains the 41-year-old businessman whose family has gold coated the ISKCON Temple in Bengaluru, Sree Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala, the Atomic Research Centre in Kalpakkam, along with 1,800 other temples and puja rooms in almost 21,000 homes in the country.
    Besides the riveting centre piece in the store, an artificial pond with brass lotuses and leaves, expect copper and gold-plated metal clutches, murals of Buddha and traditional gold plated idols and lamps for the prayer room. With more than 100 artisans from areas like Mysore and Haridwar working on crafting the products, the store also offers re-polishing, gold plating and antique finishing services. In the next eight months, they are planning to introduce the fountain concept for homes, murals involving bamboo plants and an e-store. Priced from Rs.1,100 to Rs.4.5 lakh. Details: 9884407200
