With 11-screens, glamorous details, a spa and soon, IMAX, SPI Cinemas launches their finest project yet
It has been a long wait, well over a year to be exact, for Luxe to open its doors to the public. Visitors to the expansive Phoenix Market City mall, hovered around the discreet entrance for months last March before giving up. After initial hiccups, SPI Cinemas seems to have ironed out all the kinks and is ready to unveil their seventh project on April 14. With Italian marble, velvet padded walls, crystal chandeliers, a video pillar (72 LCDs surrounding the four sides of a pillar) and a mezzanine restaurant overlooking the lobby, Luxe is all about being fashionable while providing a state-of-the-art theatre experience via its 11 screens.
With a total of 2,688 seats, the screens feature RDX-4k and four-way QSC speakers and Dolby Atmos, among other technologies. Giovanni Castor of Los Angeles design firm Castor Design, the man behind the design of Escape Cinemas, has conceptualised the interiors, which has glamorous old world meets contemporary accents. Think etched glass, opulent drapers and a Grand Piano hooked to an automated iPod. Henceforth, this is the address for high-octane viewing experiences and lavish premiers.
