Now, web check-in at luxury restaurants without trouble
WHILE most of you will be heading out to a fun party to ring in 2016, some will do it the quieter way, over a nice luxury dinner with their families. And these diners might want to download Viptable app for a hassle-free NYE night.
Founded by Pradeep B and Venkat D, Viptable is a digital-first concierge service for luxury dining experience, currently operational in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. That means, you can reserve a table online, ‘in real time’ at select high-end pubs and restaurants. It’s a web check-in service similar to what you do for flights. As soon as you make a reservation on the app or its website viptable.in, you will receive a confirmation via an SMS or email. And if restaurants are running full at that instant, you will be put in a ‘virtual queue’. Don’t be heartbroken, because it means your turn should come in a maximum of 30 minutes. Only when a restaurant can’t accommodate you, the app will recommend similar venues to head to. With every usage, the app analyses customer behaviour, and returns with “smarter recommendations”.
There’s more. If you are unhappy with your meal, you can send an anonymous message to the restaurant owner directly. In the coming days, you can also book an Ola cab after booking a venue.
In Bengaluru, its services can be availed at 28 outlets including Vapour, I&Monkey, Salt, Maya Firangi Indian Lounge, Puma Social Club and Ministry Of Food at Hilton Bangalore Golf Links. Pradeep explains why this list is limited: “We curate restaurants on certain pointers. First, it has to be a luxury space, and second, we don’t aggregate outlets that are offering similar kind of food, or ambience. We want to simplify your dining experience, which always starts with where you need to go to. ”
