Tailor-made luxury, horse power-heavy sports cars and tech-savvy motorbikes set their GPS destinations to Bangalore city
It began with BMW, Audi and Harley Davidson, and now the city seems to be eternally addicted to sleek designs, mag wheels and sweet sounding engines. Enter an iconic car that changed driving concepts, a stalwart Italian brand and a legendary motorcycle name that makes rugged sexy, Bangalore opens its doors to Mini, Lamborghini and Triumph in style.
After over a century of crafting iconic bikes, British brand Triumph Motorcycles has opened up their first fully-equipped dealership on St Marks Road. The company has tied up with Keerthi Motors to bring the same international standards of sales, service, spares and systems to India.
The showroom, exactly like those across the globe, features a consultation-lounge area, display section and merchandise including riding gear, accessories and memorabilia. We also love that they have the famous ‘Build your own Bike’ space typical to Triumph. About the concept, Shoeb Farooq, national head (sales and dealer development), says it is more than just a showroom. “Bangalore is an important city both commercially and as a hub for biking enthusiasts. The dealership will not only act as a platform to sell motorcycles but also as a great place for Triumph bike enthusiasts to connect with one another,” he shares.
They have launched 10 variants for the Indian market and the line-up includes the classic Bonneville and Bonneville T100, the legendary Speed Triple, the largest production motorcycle, the Rocket III Roadster, Street Triple, Thruxton, the stripped back and black Thunderbird Storm and sports bike Daytona 675R. Now you can seriously make off on that long distance bike trip you’ve been planning!

It is the 50th anniversary of these Italian stallions, and what better way to celebrate than with the launch of the Lamborghini showroom on highfalutin Vittal Mallya Road. Kept under wraps for the better half of last year, Lamborghini, in collaboration with the Hoysala Projects Group (the official and authorised dealership of the Italian brand in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh), the glass-walled showroom works beautifully for the stylish sports cars. But the design indeed takes a back seat when you feast your eyes on their current ‘stock’ of beauties – a stark white Gallardo and the glossy yellow Adventador.
They’ve even rolled out the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 India Limited Edition (only six of these which are officially called Gallardo India Serie Speciale) that sports the tricolor livery! The same heavy duty 5.2 litre V10 petrol engine with 550 HP powers the tricolor Gallardo through a six-speed manual gearbox. But a robotised sequential e-gear system is available too.
While the original Gallardo, Lamborghini’s most manufactured and sold car till date, is a classic beauty, the Adventador LP 700-4 is in a class by itself. With new carbon fiber side skirts, carbon fiber front lip and carbon fiber rear diffuser, this machine is every car lover’s dream. And with movable rear spoilers that can be adjusted depending on speed and drive mode, the stunning matte bronze PUR RS04 wheels and you’ll be in mechanical heaven, we assure you!
