The top five tunes that are currently ruling the radio waves
All of Me – John Legend
From his fourth studio album, Love In The Future, this one is Legend’s dedication to his then fiance and now wife, Chrissy Tiegen. Having topped charts across the globe, this piano ballad gets a soft electro remix by Tiesto as it climbs to the top.
Rather Be – Clean Bandit Jess Glynne
A strong violin introduction moves into electronic keyboard beats in this one from the British electro pop outfit as it quickly turns into a number reminiscent of the 90s. With the easy vocals of Jesse Glynne and old-school video game-style synth blips, it makes for a great road-trip number.
Ain’t It Fun – Paramore
With influences of funk, soul and new jack swing, this rock number with an upbeat, foot-tapping tempo has been praised for its tongue-in-cheek attitude and sarcastic lyrics. We love the feel-good gospel choir background to this one about the competitive nature of society today.
Adore You – Miley Cyrus
The American pop singer is back in a rather romantic mood after the loud protests of Wrecking Ball as she professes her affections for now ex-boyfriend, Liam Hems-worth. The r&b ballad has strong bass influences and powerful vocals which have helped it break into the top five this week.
Move – Little Mix
Dropping three spots to number five, the British girl band’s dance number is bound to have you hitting the dance floor. With elements of r&b and a dominant bass synth, the girls have described it as a message to boys on the dance floor acting ‘too cool for school’. Quirky tribal beats meet 90s disco inspirations in this one.
