Exploring colours
This weekend, as part of Forum Art Gallery’s Art Appreciation Series for children, a one-day workshop will explore the works of  Amrita Sher-Gil. The artist’s  paintings—portraying Indian villagers and women—will be discussed. Participants will also get a chance to try and mimic her style. At the gallery, for children five and above. Back in time
If history is your cup of tea, head to Ashvita Bistro where historian Pradeep Chakravarthy will be giving a talk on Chola temples like Punjai and Tiruvavaduthurai, followed by a Carnatic performance by V Shankar Narayanan.
