Dining out gets lucrative with the rewarding MeDine
MEDINE makes eating out even better by giving you more brownie points for indulging yourself. Founded by Satish Medapati, under the banner of TouchPoint Data Sciences, this free mobile app automatically rewards people for just walking into restaurants and cafes across the city.
“All you need to do is to just install the app (we do not even need you to do anything more) and it will start raining rewards,” begins Medapati, explaining that every time someone walks into a MeDine partner eatery, the app’s ‘intelligent assist’ feature recognises that and alerts you to collect points. “So, you do not have any hassle to check out which places it’s applicable at. You simply tap when you’re alerted and the point will stock up instantly.”
Beyond the bill
In addition to the rewards, which come in the form of spa vouchers, movie tickets and discounts at partner venues, it allows you to browse an interactive menu and preorder through to get more rewards. “You can post dish-level reviews and get additional rewards. We’ve kept the points simple—one point equals `1,” shares Medapati.
The rewards can be redeemed anytime against a host of shopping, lifestyle, e-commerce or utilitarian e-vouchers. Some of their reward tie-ups include Flipkart, Amazon, Lifestyle, Coffee Day, BookMyShow, Jabong, Shoppers Stop and Myntra.
According to Medapati, the concept has been well accepted with people using it so much, they have a 50 per cent repeat rate. Look out each week for new deals and services. “In the next few months, we plan to expand to a second city and also re-work the app user experience and interface to pump it up with more intelligence and intuition,” he signs off.
