City-based entrepreneur group, CTACIS, is conducting a marathon on ECR, starting from VGP Beach. The event is being held with the aim of building a shelter for the Irula tribals of Arungunam, Madurantakam. Registrations from Rs 500 onwards. Distances range from 5 to 10 km.

It’s very important to maintain your fitness levels this Christmas. Fine tune your asanas and surya namaskaras at the upcoming transformational yoga workshop at Le Debut Fitness Studio. Theatre enthusiasts in Auroville will be delighted to witness Water, a play by the Madras Players, one of the oldest theatre groups in the city. Written by Komal Swaminathan, the plot revolves around a stranger who arrives in the village of Athipatti in Tirunelveli, and how he creates an impact among the villagers. Do your bit to spread awareness about breast cancer by participating in the Think Pink marathon, organised by the Facebook group, I Love Pondicherry. The seven-kilometre run is open to ages from 14 to 50; participants are required to register three days prior to the event. The run starts at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.

The Allen show
