We round up a few events to foster in you the magical spirit of the season

    Glorious Concert

The city’s 25 year-old gospel choir, celebrates the festival the way they do best – through a special concert in keeping with their yearly tradition. Entitled Through It All, the cantata is designed to keep the listener rapt with solos, duets and four-part harmonies that will depict the story of the nativity through music. Included in the performance will be inspiring personal stories and experiences. Post the interval, the audience will be entertained by the 100-voice strong children’s choir with a more uptempo session.
Tickets (Rs100 upwards) on indianstage.in. Saturday 6.30 pm, Sunday 3 pm and 6.30 pm. At Ambedkar Bhavan, Millers Road.
    Christmas Jam
Hosted by Christalaya Koramangala, Christmas Jam is the coming together of various amateur and seasoned musicians from all walks of life. From rock versions of traditional carols to contemporary numbers and soothing instrumentals, this one is sure to put you in the festive mood. A highlight is the violinist, double bassist and pianist trio from the Bangalore School of Music Orchestra who will be performing some western classical numbers. If the music serves to be food for your soul, snack on traditional homemade treats from the food counter for something more substantial.

For something a lot more light hearted, head to this popular bookstore and performance space for a shadow puppet rendition of the musical, Dr Seuss’ Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Presented by Imaginostory, other activities include a holiday card craft session and themed games, though the play itself is suitable for all ages.
Tickets (Rs200). At Koramangala. Details: Preetha 9731548410
